This beautiful 3-day trip along the Kali Gandaki is a marvelous place for those people wanting a short to medium-length rafting experience. During the Kaligandaki River Rafting, you will pass through narrow gorges, thick jungles, and under tumbling waterfalls. You will see traditional Magar and Chetri villages and have the opportunity to view the huge Annapurna mountain range along with a wide variety of wildlife and religious sites along the river banks.
The New Bridge at Kusma is the put-in point, situated 3 3-hour drive from Pokhara by private transport, provided by ourselves. The trip is around 72km and takes us 3 days. Our destination is the ‘dam’ and the return trip to Pokhara takes around 4 and a half hours.

This scenic drive takes you through charming villages and offers glimpses of rural life in Nepal. Upon reaching Nayapul, your journey to explore the Annapurna region on two wheels begins. You’ll meet your cycling guide and start pedaling along well-marked trails that lead you deeper into the stunning landscapes of the Himalayas. As you cycle, you’ll pass through lush forests, cross pristine rivers, and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. The day’s ride takes you to your first overnight stop, where you’ll have the opportunity to rest, enjoy a hearty meal, and immerse yourself in the tranquility of the mountains.
Day 2: Modi Khola to Purti Ghat
On the second day of your cycling adventure, you’ll continue your journey along the Modi Khola River. The cycling route offers a mix of terrains, including gentle descents, occasional climbs, and winding paths that lead you deeper into the Annapurna region. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to interact with local communities, witness their traditional way of life, and experience the warm hospitality of the Nepali people. Day 3: Purti Ghat to Mirme
As you embark on the third day of your cycling expedition, you’ll follow the winding trail that meanders alongside the Modi Khola River. The cycling route may present occasional challenges, but your determination and the breathtaking landscapes around you will keep you motivated. Along the way, you may encounter friendly locals, observe their daily routines, and learn about the cultural richness of the region. As you approach Mirme, your next overnight stop, you’ll have a sense of accomplishment as you reflect on the terrain you’ve covered and the natural wonders you’ve witnessed. At Mirme, you’ll set up camp for the night, enjoy a well-deserved meal, and savor the peaceful atmosphere of the Annapurna region before resting for the adventures that await in the days ahead.
