Trip Overview

Manaslu Circuit Trek is an attractive and undoubtedly off-beaten tour in Nepal. It is possibly the most understated trekking trail and one of the most famous restricted treks in the Manaslu region of Nepal. The 14-15 days Manaslu trek is a captivating location after Everest, Annapurna, and Langtang. Interestingly, this is amidst a few trekking regions where single solo trekkers are permitted as should be two people in a group. Trekking must be headed by the Nepal Government Licensed Trekking Guide through a significant permit and ACAP permit too. Mount Manaslu (8163m) is the planet’s 8th highest peak and it’s a significant attraction of the Manaslu region. 

Manaslu Circuit Trek is an attractive off-the-beaten trek situated in the Manaslu region. The mountain is situated about 50 miles from the capital of Kathmandu in the Gorkha district. Manaslu Himal is part of the Mansiri Himalayan sub-range. There are traditional settlements of the Gurungs community together with the trail. The Bhutias, the Sherpas, and other people of Tibetan ethnicity also live in this area. The trekker will come across many beautiful destinations and locations while on the route like  Lho (3180m), Samagaun (3500m), Dharamsala (4480m), Larkya la pass (5213m), Bintang (3720m) Mt. Annapurna ll (7,937m) Tilije (2300m), Besisahar (760m).  

After that the trekkers will take a beautiful drive back to Kathmandu from Besisahar, viewing green hills, serene waterfalls, and rivers over the region. After arriving in Kathmandu, the trekkers can explore the relaxing environment and celebrate the accomplishment of their tour. Lastly, they can take a scenic flight back to their desired destination from Tribhuvan International Airport.

Best Time of Manaslu Circuit Trek

Trekking in the Manaslu region is an absolute in the peak seasons of autumn and spring. Detail Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. You’ll have the rest of the day to relax and recover from your journey.

Day 2: Trek Preparation and Permit Acquisition

Today, you’ll spend your day preparing for the trek. You’ll have a pre-trek briefing, and our team will assist you in obtaining the necessary permits for the Manaslu Conservation Area and Annapurna Conservation Area, as this trek includes both regions. Day 3: Kathmandu to Soti Khola

You’ll begin your journey towards Soti Khola, the starting point of the Manaslu Circuit Trek. Depending on road conditions, you’ll either drive to Arughat and then continue to Soti Khola or drive directly to Soti Khola. The drive takes approximately 7-8 hours, offering scenic views of the countryside and local villages. Upon arrival in Soti Khola, you’ll check into a tea house and rest for the night.

Day 4: Soti Khola to Machha Khola

Day 13: Bimthang to Dharapani

Leaving Bimthang, you’ll trek for about 6-7 hours to reach Dharapani. The trail takes you through lush forests and picturesque landscapes. Dharapani, at an altitude of 2,300 meters, marks your entry into the Annapurna region.

Day 14: Dharapani to Besisahar and Back to Kathmandu

Today, you’ll drive from Dharapani to Besisahar, and from there, you’ll catch a bus back to Kathmandu. The drive can take around 8-9 hours, depending on road conditions and traffic. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you’ll check back into your hotel.

Day 15: Rest Day in Kathmandu

This is a well-deserved rest day in Kathmandu after completing the challenging Manaslu Circuit Trek. You can explore the city, do some last-minute shopping, or simply relax at your hotel.

Day 16: Final Departure

Your trek comes to an end as you prepare for your final departure from Kathmandu. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time for last-minute exploration or shopping for souvenirs.
