Trek Itinerary (Typical Route)

The trek can be done in 6 to 8 days, depending on the pace and stops.

Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar (760m) and Dharapani (1,860m)

  • Drive Duration: 7–9 hours
  • Highlights: Scenic countryside, waterfalls, and mountain views.

Day 2: Trek from Dharapani to Chame (2,670m)

  • Trek Duration: 5–6 hours
  • Highlights: Views of Lamjung Himal, forests, and hot springs in Chame.

Day 3: Chame to Pisang (3,200m)

  • Trek Duration: 5–6 hours
  • Highlights: Stunning Annapurna II and Pisang Peak views.

Day 4: Pisang to Manang (3,519m)

  • Trek Duration: 5–6 hours
  • Highlights: Dry and arid landscape, Tibetan culture, and monasteries.

Day 5: Acclimatization Day in Manang

  • Side trips: Visit Ice Lake, Gangapurna Lake, or explore the village.

Day 6: Return or Continue the Annapurna Circuit

  • You can either return via the same route or continue the trek towards Tilicho Lake or Thorong La Pass.

Best Time to Visit

  • Spring (March–May): Best time with clear skies and blooming rhododendrons.
  • Autumn (September–November): Ideal weather with amazing visibility.
  • Winter (December–February): Possible but very cold with snow.
  • Monsoon (June–August): Rainy and slippery, but still accessible.

Difficulty Level

  • Moderate to Challenging – The high altitude can make trekking difficult, so proper acclimatization is needed.

Outline Itinerary

Day 1: 

Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m) overnight at hotel with B/B plan

Day 2: 

Kathmandu to Beshi shahar (760m) by tourist standard transportation (7- hrs. by drive), overnight at hotel with B/B plan

Day 3: 

Drive to Chame (2650m) by private jeep 5-6 hrs. Overnight at tea house with B/L/D plan

Day 4: 

Trek from Chame to Pisang (3200m) 5 hrs, overnight at tea house with B/L/D plan

Day 5: 

Lower Pisang to Vraka manang (3500m) via ghayuru village 6-7 hrs overnight at tea house with B/L/D plan

Day 6: 

Varaka Manang: Acclimatization Day, overnight at tea house with B/L/D plan

Day 07: 

Varaka Manang to Chame 6hrs, overnight at tea house with B/L/D plan

Day 08: 

Chame to Besisahar by sharing jeep overnight at tea house with B/L/D plan

Day 09:

Besisahar to kathmandu, by Tousist standred bus overnight at tea house with B/B plan

Day 10: 

Free day and shopping, rest day, overnight at hotel with B/B plan
